I moved into a new house in February, a very cold month and a very cold house. It's an old Victorian house, with working fireplaces, sash windows, a garden, and lots of character! However the fact that it is old means it can feel bitterly cold at times, especially as my room has a window seat (overlooking the garden) which let's out so much heat.
But now we have started to enter into summer, and I am realising that this is definitely a summer house. It is absolutely gorgeous in the summer! And sometimes gets too hot. The garden is in full bloom, and there is an amazing view of the church, from my bedroom window. Here are some photos I took recently, with my new Diana camera:
